So many times we hear that we should not let emotions or our feelings get in the way, but what if emotions and feelings are exactly what we need to pay attention to in order to understand the right direction you need to go in? What if emotions and feelings were also the way in which you can determine what is holding you back, such as certain negative limiting beliefs or fears? What if emotions and feelings were what could help you find your passion, and help you discover what your true purpose really is? What if feelings were the biological way our souls communicated with us…

Sometimes, the “feeling” we have is exactly what we would be best off following. If we begin to tune in and recognize which parts of your life tend to cause which feelings, we can intentionally re-create our reality to be one that is full of parts that make you feel GOOD.

Plus, the more you start to actually allow your inner-feeling to be a voice of guidance, you can use it to your advantage and let it help guide you through life. We are created to feel empowered, uplifted, inspired, energetic, loved and happy.

We are not created to feel anxious, stressed, angry, sad or worthless. So when these feelings come up, take notice to what the thoughts in your head are and notice what part of your life you are focusing on by thinking these thoughts. Chances are, you’re focusing on something you need to face (but haven’t), something that is having a negative effect on your life, or something that has you feeling deeply unloved.

Well, through recognizing what is causing your deep uneasiness, you can also find the strength within to push you toward your preferred emotions by taking real action immediately.

So, maybe it was that conversation you’ve been needing to have but it’s easier to simply avoid and put it off. You deserve to feel your best, you owe it to yourself to move through this layer of uneasiness and take action and FACE IT. Instead of wallowing in the anxiety this is causing, take immediate action to be uncomfortable solely while you face whatever it may be. This may be blocking you from feeling your favorite emotions. If you don’t just get to it, it’s going to worsen, and you’ll either have to face it eventually or have to continue living feeling crappy for a longgggggggg time. ACTION WILL CURE IT!

Maybe you were focusing on the friend who you keeps putting you down in front of other people. Sure, she is “joking” but it really is starting to hurt your feelings. Plus, she only wants to hang out with you if you want to go out and party, she never wants to do anything else you want to do, and she definitely doesn’t pay attention enough to even notice how she’s treating you. Maybe it’s time to recognize that sometimes associating with people who may seem like your ‘friends’ but don’t actually ACT like your real friend is not something you should put up with. They don’t have your best interest at heart, but you have theirs at heart. This type of relationship takes too much from you without filling you back up with goodness. Be honest with yourself about relationships, and take notice to who your true friends are (the ones that want you to be your happiest) and who your ‘friends’ are (the ones who consistently drag you down and make you feel crappy). Clean up your relationships and only involve yourself with quality friends who have your happiness and best interest at heart. You will feel free from negative influencing pressure.

Or maybe, you’re just talking to yourself in a negative light. Maybe you are feeling the opposite of love and taking it out on yourself, because you’re upset with not feeling loved and you don’t feel good enough to be loved.

This is when it’s vital to reconnect with love…

  1. Take 5 deep, slow breaths. 
  2. Start by reconnecting with gratitude, think about all of the things you are grateful for and think about what it really feels like to feel grateful. Try to harness this feeling in your heart. This will help you make some space to let your heart open back up to love.
  3. Then think about a time you felt loved, like really really loved unconditionally – such as by one of your parents or a sibling. Think of one specific time. Try to really feel what it feels like to feel loved. Try to harness this feeling in your heart.
  4. Say a prayer to God and the universe and ask for help to feel peace in your heart. Ask to feel God’s love in this present moment. With your eyes closed, focus on how much God loves you and how the universe is there for you and will work with you toward anything you desire, including feeling your happiest and feeling loved. All you have to do is believe this truth.
  5. Repeat until you can get yourself back to feeling love and reconnected with your higher power. Do your best to live the rest of the day from this state of being.

And as for what makes you feel the emotions we deserve to feel and were created to feel, well – take note, turn your faith on an all-time high, turn fears on an all-time low and follow the direction these feelings pull you in.

Just like Joseph Campbell put it…

“If you do follow your bliss you put yourself on a kind of track that has been there all the while, waiting for you, and the life that you ought to be living is the one you are living. Follow your bliss and don’t be afraid, and doors will open where you didn’t know they were going to be.”

Sometimes using logic isn’t the truest, most beneficial way to go about things. Of course we have to use our logic and commonsense, but try to practice to really learn the difference between your mind helping you move toward your happiness or your mind actually blocking you from it…

When you have inspired thought, this inspiration doesn’t just come from nowhere. Use inspired thought the way it’s meant to be used – put it into action. If you take action on inspired thought, it’s going to be of high quality. If you, instead, wait around and don’t actually put action to your inspired thought, the inspiration will be long gone and your opportunity to take action will be lost. It’ll then seem like, “…just a dumb idea I had.”

Use your feelings to live your best and happiest life. Let your inner-feelings be the guidance they have the potential to be!
